Re: English - Spanish Handbook
Thanks!
I've got the menu system down (though I need to add to it, and that'll require some testing), and I think I've got an understanding of the menu format now so it's mostly a matter of putting in the actual material, and making it pretty.
Any colors you like?
Anyway, probably going to have the alphabet/el alfabeto done in a few minutes (doing some homework then I'm going to spend some time on Petit Computer).
Then next is numbers, dates, greetings, titles, etc.
Can the menu scroll automatically? I kind of want it to be so you can scroll through it so I don't have to split each part up to make it fit on the screen, I want to have the English word, the Spanish translation, and the phonetic Spanish translation all together for each word, so that might prove a challenge.

Re: English - Spanish Handbook
Scrolling? Possible. Oh, and for a project like that, typing in the DS takes forever, right? I reccomend typing it up on a PC. Just read the file (before you make a QR code) with Notepad++ (the dev's notepad) [Only admins are allowed to see this link] And go from there. Scrolling would be when you are on the last option of the menu, cls, make it so the top option is replaced with 2nd, 2nd with 3rd. There are other ways, but thats the one I use.
Re: English - Spanish Handbook
Thanks! I'll try to implement it. Right now I've actually transformed the handbook into an OS, but it's only function right now is to load Game 1.
I think what I'm going to try to do is make an OS along with the handbook, and then put the handbook along with the QR codes for the OS, so it'll be a separate program, but it comes with the OS.
Really, the OS is only to test what I can do so I can move forward from where I'm at, and I've gotten the art of basic OS creation in Petit Computer down, so... I think this OS is the... fourth or fifth OS just in the little Nintendo Life community. As far as the OS goes, I think it's just going to have the basic functions loading the preloaded games and tools, and probably have a sound tester, as well as the English-Spanish handbook, which if I ever get going on it will be updated as I learn more from my class.
I just have the feeling that we aren't being taught the exact definitions though and I feel it will be loosely translated, which I obviously don't want. :I
I've seen a really wicked OS on the Japanese Puchikon program listings that had a mouse and it worked a lot like the older PCs though I couldn't get the cursor to work right, and I think it crashed on me. They had a picture though and it looked really nice on their DS.

I'll probably transfer my programming to PTCUtilities to make programming feel better.
Edit: Also, your link is viewable to admins only.

Re: English - Spanish Handbook
Well, I think tonight is the first night English-Spanish reference will be added BACK into Eos OS.
Should have Spanish accent marks and whatnot ready to go, and I know how I want to set up the menu system (not using scrolling just yet, I think for a menu in which only a few options are needed and lots of text will be implemented, I'd rather just have two separate pages, with let's say "A" brings you to the next page, "B" returns you to the previous page, "X" returns you to the menu, and "Y" exits the program).
